Revenue from Angkor Ticket Sales Increased by More Than 2000% in 2022

SIEM REAP: Cambodia earned more than US $11 million from Angkor ticket sales in the 12 months of 2022, indicating an increase of more than 2,000% compared to 2021.

According to a press release issued by Angkor Enterprise last weekend, revenue from Angkor resorts totaled US $11,528,158 in the 12 months of 2022, which was a 2,082.86% increase over 2021. In total, temples received 287,454 international visitors, an increase of 2,133% from 2021.

In addition to the revenue earned from the Angkor Resort, the Angkor Institute also earned US $90,450 from the sale of tickets to Koh Ker, while the revenue from the sale of boat tickets at the Chong Kneas port was US $165,308.

It should be noted that during the opening ceremony of the 16th General Assembly of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club, Prime Minister Hun Sen stated that he expects Cambodia will have a total of 11 million domestic and 7 million foreign tourists in 2023.
